Using tropical flowers are only limited by one's imagination. I'm always taken back when I hear customers and other florists express difficulty using them in anything other than high style designs for specific functions.(like Hawaiian theme parties)
We have always used tropicals in our floral designs for the holidays, weddings, bat/bar mitzvahs, memorial services, to put it simply tropicals can be utilized in design for any occasion. They make a statement like no other flower, long lasting, bright colors and from a creative point of view...a lot of fun. Recently we did a party for a company that wanted centerpieces with flowers that were colorful with an aquatic theme and no props. We had a limited budget inside a banquet room that was fairly typical and our goal was to deliver what our customer wanted. In addition I also added some other examples of tropical floral arrangements that we do on a regular basis.
